Ontario Bulbil Garlic Vs Glove Garlic

We have also harvested our garlic from bulbils.  Some of the Ontario bulbs had 4 or so small gloves on them.  Some looked like a single bulb.  See our previous garlic from bulbils post. We got the bulbil seeds from the Scarborough Backyard last year.  We will replant these gloves again this fall to produce bigger bulbs.

Ukranian, Persian, Sicilian, Korean, Yugoslavian, Italian and Ontario garlic harvested

Except the Ontario garlic, we purchased the seeds from The Cutting Veg.  Farmer Dan of the Cutting Veg has many more varieties but these were the varities we really liked. We also volunteered at his farm last fall planting thousands of garlic.  It was a great learning experience. Bulbils harvested, marked and stored from Milton Backyard garden . We will  plant them this fall and will replant the  gloves again next year to achieve a desirable garlic size. Ontario garlic from Bulbils

We planted the bulbils from our Scarborough backyard.  The Ontario garlic bulbil seeds resemble tiny garlic gloves. We harvested the tiny scapes off from the bulbil garlic plants to fatten the garlic. We harvested some Ontario bulbil garlic to inspect.   We will leave the rest to mature and re plant them this fall. We will replant the fall  gloves again next year to achieve a desirable garlic size.

The bulbils(garlic seeds) are bursting out of the pod. We have 7 varieties growing.  We also planted bulbils of Ontario garlic.  We have 6 varities(Ukranian, Persian, Sicilion, Korean, Yukoslavian & Italian) of garlic planted as  gloves.
